09/08/2010According to Wikipedia “Labor Day is celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of summer.” Now our newlywed’s will know it as there anniversary weekend! That’s right! Tandria and Tyree tied the knot here on Sunday! The newlyweds have been together since college (5 years total) and their families were ecstatic about the marriage! 192 guests were present when the lovebirds said I do....and all of the guests helped them celebrate it all night long!!!

Nutty for Fall ...
09/02/2010Some of us hold on to summer until we have to put away our flip-flops and break out our boots and scarves… where as others are excited for the leaves to fall and the cool nights! This weekend Kristen and Marcello channeled the spirit of autumn and gave all their guests a “Sweet Taste of Fall!” (Literally… a “Sweet Taste of Fall” was their signature cocktail… aka a chocolate martini!) The newlyweds got married at the Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington prior to their fall themed reception at The Rosewood.

On Saturday, summer loving was back with the wedding reception of Elisa and Rick. The newlyweds said “I do” at Immaculate Conception prior to their celebration at The Rosewood. The new Mr. and Mrs. Almond set the tone for their wedding with their signature cocktail the “Toasted Almond!” Talk about a perfect fit!

Love is Friendship Set on Fire....
08/26/2010This weekend The Rosewood was heating things up…. It all started on Friday night with the Yirenni and Andres’s ceremony and wedding reception! The newlyweds accented our Rose ballroom with gorgeous celery colored napkins and matching sashes for the chairs. I thought it was a great color selection!!!
On Saturday, Bena and Leonard decided to do a “meet and greet” prior to tying the knot on site! If your a non-traditional couple…I just love a “meet and greet” in our foyer! The pictures always come out amazing!

Also on Saturday, we helped celebrate Erica’s Sweet Sixteen! It was the perfect way to end summer for her and her friends…before hitting the books!

Masquerade Ball, Anyone?
08/15/2010This weekend two couples begun forever after at The Rosewood...

Kristina and Andrew supplied all their guests’ masks and threw a masquerade ball! I thought it was such a fun idea!! At the masquerade ball their guests danced, drank, and ate night away while celebrating the newlywed’s love for one another!

08/10/2010This weekend we celebrated the love of three lovely couples! We kicked off the weekend on Friday night with the marriage of Jamie and Weston. The couple said “I Do” on site in our garden room. The perfect pair handed out a pair of pears as their favor! The symbolism of two people being a matched set …. is such beautiful statement of love!

08/05/2010This past weekend we celebrated the love of Melissa and Adam. The happy couple got married on site in our garden room!!! (Check out the picture below.) Melissa and Adam’s wedding was unique…like each and every wedding at The Rosewood. Since the newlyweds were really into music, we created a Rock n Roll Station for cocktail hour! 08/01/2010In lieu of wedding favors, some couples are making donations! These donations are made to a charity in honor of the guests at the wedding. Our newlyweds, Andrea and Gabriel did just that!!! The bride and groom made donations to “Fight for Sight” and the “American Heart Association”. Both great causes! If this is something that is of interest to you … there are soooo many great organizations to donate to!

I think that donations are a meaningful and unique way to remind your guests of your special day. They are also a perfect eco-friendly gift option too!!!!

Let The Fireworks Begin ...
07/06/2010This past July 4th the fireworks weren’t the only things giving off sparks….Our newlyweds were too, when they said, “I do”. Camille and Steven got married on-site and had a very “cool” idea! The couple turned their programs into fans! Danielle and I loved them from the second Steven dropped them off! We spoke with Camille and she said her graphic designer designed the fan programs just like her invitations! I took pictures for you to see a cute way to beat the heat!

07/01/2010We had a blast here this past bright and sunny summer weekend! We celebrated the marriage of two wonderful couples, a baby shower and an 18th birthday party!
Our first wedding reception was on Friday. Our newlyweds, Lynn and Slawomir came ready to celebrate after their ceremony. The couple had the cutest favors…..mini trees (that kind of reminded me of palm trees) for all guests! I love the Go Green favors that are out! Not only is it a memory but its planting a lot of goodness into our environment!

On Sunday we celebrated the marriage of Melissa and Peter. This was a cultural affair and the pictures are amazing like the couple. The newlyweds got married on-site and transformed our garden room to suit their backgrounds. I took a bunch of pictures before and during the ceremony to show you!

This past week we celebrated the marriage of Regina and Stanley (check out the awesome picture below), got new centerpieces for our cocktail hour tables, and joined facebook! Yes…you read that right! It was called ATM because three best friends came together to have the party of the year for their 16th birthday and all their friends! Angela, Taylor and Michelle choose a candy land theme for their party …with each table’s centerpiece representing a different candy, lollipops for seating cards, cookie favors and a candy bar!

04/28/2010This past weekend our newlyweds, Mariola and Adam touched everyone’s lives in a special way…. Instead of placing cameras on each table, the couple placed picture frames on each table! Each picture frame had its very own love/marriage quote from greats like Aristotle to movies like “When Harry Met Sally”. I thought it was such a cute and catchy idea! Prior to their reception I found myself walking from table to table reading each frame! See the picture below of how Mariola and Adam presented each quote! Here are some of my favorites….

The newlyweds also made dessert a real treat with a cupcake wedding cake and Adam’s mom made 2,000 home-made cookies in addition to a candy bar and fondue station! It was a dessert extravaganza!

04/21/2010This Saturday or newlywed’s Danielle and Bill celebrated their love for each other along with their love for our country. Both the bride and the groom have served our country in the military and choose to fill their wedding with traditions like a POW/MIA table, a blessing with wine, bread & salt, and danced the tarantella. 03/16/2010This past weekend it was absolutely miserable outside, but our newly weds Jacqui and Daniel were shining! I loved the Go-Green favors the Jacqui and Daniel selected! They were blue spruce seedlings with a little card saying “Thank you for sharing our growing memories!” After falling head over heals for these favors….I did some research of my own! The Luck of the Irish...
03/11/2010What a unique weekend we had here at The Rosewood, with our newlyweds, Margaret and Richard! The couple infused their wedding day with tons of personality and their heritage. Since the groom plays trumpet for The World Famous Gashouse Gang….He actually had his band play with him at the reception! Not only did the band play, but also Margaret and 40 other trumpeters joined in! I thought it was cool! In addition, our Irish newlyweds started celebrating St. Patty’s Day early with Irish flag M&M centerpieces for cocktail hour and a shamrock wedding cake!! I hope Margaret and Richard find a pot of gold at the end of all their rainbows!

03/02/2010Nothing says its time to celebrate more, than popping open a bottle of champagne, especially on your wedding day. This weekend our newlyweds, Shannon and Kevin, sure did know how to keep a celebration going! Not only did they raise their glasses, but they gave all their guests mini champagne bottles as favors! Which I think is a great way for all your guests to reminisce over all the fun memories they had at your wedding…when they pop open your bubbly favor. Cheers to Shannon and Kevin! 02/18/2010If he popped the big question this weekend, be happy to know you’re in good company! Statistically, they say an average of 2.3 million couples get engaged a year in the United States alone and 10% of those engagements are on Valentine’s Day! I think the coolest thing about that is…of those 230,000 engagements; each and every one of them is unique and special even though they are all on the same day! Due to the fact that the two of you now have a life long story of how he asked you to spend the rest of his life with you. (Not to mention…it is his chance to show everyone how much your future husband really loves you!) Congratulations to all the couples that got engaged this weekend! I’ll see you soon…
